Why do cats always land on their feet?

This ability of cats is anchored at the level of reflexes. Its first manifestation begins in kittens at the age on 3-4 weeks, and around 6-7, when the animal begins to actively learn the world, is finally fixed.

The flexible backbone, absence of collarbones and well-developed vestibular apparatus assist in this. Falling down, a cat immediately begins to align its body to the ground.
